Chris is a professional triathlete currently based in Cardiff, Wales and training at the National Triathlon Performance Centre.

In 2018 achieved the highest accolade of any athlete, and represented his country, Wales, at the Commonwealth Games where as a team they finished 6th. He also finished 2nd overall in the Welsh Super Series, and finished 9th in his first professional middle-distance triathlon at Challenge Peguera-Mallorca.

Chris describes himself as a passionate and up-and-coming middle/long-distance triathlete, and his goals for the 2019 season include going one better and winning the Welsh Super Series, getting on the podium at a Challenge Family race, qualifying for ‘The Championship’ in Samorin and competing for Great Britain in the ETU Elite Middle-Distance Triathlon Championships.

Outside of triathlon, Chris has a passion for psychology. He has completed an undergraduate degree in Psychology and a masters degree in Clinical Psychology, and has worked as an Assistant Psychologist across various mental health settings. He says he often has to apply this psychological knowledge and experience during both his training and racing, particularly when the going gets tough!
